So I was just rambling along the internet as usual the other night at a reasonable hour. That reasonable hour - through a twist of fate in the form of an errant comment on someone's tumblr - turned unreasonable
as soon as I clicked on the link to watch the pilot episode of Suits.
Then my night was devoted to watching every single episode available.
And ever since (which is a total of three days), I've been... well. **blushes** Titillated in the sexual sense.
WATCH THIS SHOW.
Mike Ross is an eidetic dropout who's a genius. He's taken LSATs for Harvard-wannabes, he's smoked a lot of weed. His dream, which he thinks is beyond him, has always been to be a lawyer. His best friend Trevor, who's a manipulative bro who deals drugs, sends him into a set-up drug deal. When he's running from the cops, he stumbles into job interviews for a law firm. An interview only for Harvard graduates. And he comes out hired. By the one and only Harvey Spector, the best closer lawyer in all of New York.
So now you know the plot, and you also know that it, too, is sexy. The main characters.
There's the jackass hotshot top lawyer in town, Harvey Specter:
This man is UNF. What I mean by this is sexy beyond belief, just by being there. Like, he could just be present and doing utterly normal things, like walking down a hallway or signing paperwork. And he'd be the most attractive guy onscreen. Seriously, when he adjusts his tie, it's all kinds of amazing. And he's not just sexy because of how he appears on screen, oh no. His entire character, from everything he says to everything he does, is teh smex. Seriously. Harvey Spector. So hot right now.
And there's his protege, Mike Ross:
Uh, do I even have to say it? He's angelically beautiful??? And he's just about the cutest character ever. So green, so eager to please everyone, so incredibly anxious and hardworking and frazzled and ethical. :)
The other characters are all right and do a good job as a supporting cast, but they have nowhere near the level of character these two have. And the whole show is about these two getting closer. (SQEE) They have fabulous chemistry. And the banter. The banter, people. **dies**
Yeah and they have women that they're interested in and stuff, but whatever. To me, all the women except for Donna (who isn't what I'd label as a romantic interest at all) have pretty distilled personalities. As in, they're sort of dull and I'd rather have more Harvey and Mike screentime than have them appear at all, but whatever.
In conclusion, I ship Harvey/Mike like WHOA.
Watch. This. Show. Your life will improve 498%, I guarantee it.
PS. Oh and expect some slash of these two to be posted sometime soon.
